ABOUT

I am a ceramic artist who has lived in Colorado since 1989. Living in the foothills west of Boulder, surrounded by conifer forest, provides me with constant inspiration. I spend as much time as I can outdoors, enjoying the ever-changing environment. Working with clay feels like a natural extension of this process, since ceramic can mirror both the fluidity and permanence of the natural world. In the wet stage, the clay is malleable into whatever shape I choose, completely open to being altered and re-formed. After the final firing, the ceramic becomes literally as hard as rock. In between is the almost boundless spectrum of possible shape, color, and surface decoration to play with in choosing the perfect design to complement any given interior or exterior space.

I believe that a love and appreciation of beauty is one of the most appealing characteristics of human beings. There is no better place for custom art than in the spaces we spend time in each and every day…our homes, our workplaces, our public spaces. I look forward to working together to create custom art!
